G-SHOCK releases a new set of the classic DW-5600 Series a revival of historical colors. There are DW-5600R in yellow, blue, green and DWE-5600R in yellow with the replacement bands and bezels. These new models recreate the First Yellow (1987), First Green (1991), and First Blue (1991) color G-SHOCK watches which were sold outside of Japan. The blue and green color watches have gold LCD, which is similar to the one used in the original design.
New Release: Casio G-SHOCK DW-5600R and DWE-5600R
The G-SHOCK DW-5500R is retailed at SGD 139 for the blue and green and SGD 149 for the yellow. And the DWE-5600R with 2 additional interchangeable bands and bezel retails for SGD 309, inclusive of GST. TheDW-5600 and DWE-5600 are now available on G-SHOCK website and all G-SHOCK stores now.
The three new DW-5600R models bring the total of the collection to 10, including the stainless steel GM-5600 and the transparent resin cased GW-5600. The new models are in-line with the classical looks of the G-SHOCK, and though the colours are anything but muted, they are more traditional than the riot of colours in some of the current DW-5600 series.
Casio G-SHOCK DWE-5600R
The special model is the DWE-5600R is a yellow watch with replacement bands and bezels, this model brings back the square-face 5600 Series with a Carbon Core Guard structure. Also, this model comes with 2 colors replacement bands and bezels: black and red. The components are fully interchangeable, and it is possible to create a mix and match, or just plain models in black, yellow and red.
Functionality
In terms of function, these all models are shock resistant, 200-meter water resistant and are equipped with stopwatch and countdown timer. The models are fitted with an EL backlight for legibility in the dark. The case is water resistant to a depth rating of 200m.
