We attended the inauguration of the newly expanded manufacture of Bvlgari Sainglégier in the Swiss Jura on 14 November 2024. Here is our video report of the event.
Bvlgari inaugurates a new expanded manufacture in Saignelégier
The newly expanded facility at Saingnelégier will bring the production of cases and dials under one roof. The site has grown from 3,400 square meters by a 1,000 square meters, and accommodates a diversity of crafts to enable the métier d’arts studio to be within its walls. This will enable Bvlgari to fully leverage the synergies of the vertical integration.
The video has the English part of the discussion between Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bvlgari and Frédéric Arnault, CEO of LVMH Watch Division on vertical integration and how it will support Bvlgari and the group’s goals.
We were also treated to a demonstration of Bvlgari’s latest Octo Roma Grande Sonnerie Tourbillon watch.
We visited the workshops which show gem-setting of the dials, including the manufacture of the Serpenti gem-studded dial, and the marquetry dials made with green malachite. We also saw the machine room, dressed in funky lighting for the occasion of our visit and manufacture inauguration, where the cases are made.
