New edition 903 model series

Commentary

The design of the new 903 series models remains true to the brand’s DNA, with a 41mm stainless steel case that now includes a silver-electroplated turning bezel which can be used to adjust the inner slide rule ring. The iconic slide rule bezel with a logarithmic scale, a hallmark of the series, remains a prominent feature, enabling the wearer to perform calculations such as timing, distance, or fuel consumption. This feature is matched by the watches’ improved legibility, thanks to the use of hybrid ceramic luminous material on the indices and hands, ensuring readability in all lighting conditions. The applied indices are especially unique since the whole index is luminous rather than a filled insert.

The new editions are not just a nod to the past but an updated modern sports chronograph, featuring a La Joux Perret column wheel chronograph movement that has a power reserve of up to 60 hours when fully wound. The 903 St HB, in particular, is a limited edition model with only 500 pieces available.

Sinn’s dedication to precision and durability is further exemplified by the 903 series’ water resistance, which has been increased to 20 bar (200m). This feature, along with the meticulous hand-attachment of the indices, underscores the brand’s focus on creating timepieces that are both functional and resilient.

The new Sinn 903 models are available for pre-order, with deliveries expected to commence in August 2024. The pricing reflects the quality and exclusivity of these watches, with the two permanent models starting from €3250, depending on the choice of strap, and the limited edition 903 St HB priced at €3650.

Press release

Watch enthusiasts can rejoice: the 903 model series from Sinn Spezialuhren is now available again. The fact that the three new navigation chronographs are presented in a completely revised version should generate even more enthusiasm.

There is a choice between the model 903 St HB with a light blue dial, limited to 500 pieces, and the series models 903 St II with a black or 903 St B E II with a deep blue dial. What all the timepieces have in common is that they are of a technical standard that is probably unique.

Hybrid ceramic luminescent elements

The function-rich design of the dial characterizes these navigation chronographs in the Sinn Spezialuhren range with a tradition that has endured for decades. For example, the slide rule dial with logarithmic graduations can be used to calculate times, distances or fuel consumption. Particularly noteworthy is the use of hybrid ceramic luminescent elements for the hand-set indices, the number 12 and the hour and minute hands. Thanks to the integration of the luminous pigments in the respective hybrid ceramic molded part, a high concentration of the illuminant is achieved, resulting in extreme luminous intensity and perfect readability in the dark

New housing design

The new design of the housing in particular once again demonstrates the Frankfurt-based company’s innovative strength. This is because this case has a rotating bezel that can be operated by sliding directly on the outer diameter of the watches. The fact that the watches with this design have an impressive water resistance of 20 bar is testament to the engineering achievement that has long characterized the SINN brand.

Equipped with column wheel chronograph movement

The tricompax arrangement of the galvanized silver-plated counter circles completes the design as a classic navigation chronograph. The technical crowning glory of these models is the column wheel chronograph movement, which has a power reserve of at least 60 hours when fully wound. The application of the SINN logo as an appliqué is another fine visual detail in the overall concept of a consistently well thought-out model series.
