Seiko 5 Sports releases the second limited-edition model in collaboration with HUF. The watch is inspired by the heritage of a late-1960s 5 Sports design.

The Seiko 5 Sports HUF Limited Edition SRPL33 has a retail of USD 380 before taxes. Limited Edition of 7,000 pieces.
Commentary
Interesting collaboration with HUF, a streetware design house in the US. The design is based on a popular Seiko 5 model from the 1960s, with the colour scheme by HUF, using the lime green which appears to be the preferred hue for HUF. The watch is also available on the HUF website.
There is also a Japan Domestic Model(JDM version) with he reference SBSA279. It carries the additional imprint at 6 o’clock on the dial as well as on the case back, “Made in Japan”.
We are not sure if the total limited edition is for a total of 7,000 pieces, or if the limitation is for each version. We are also not sure if the international release is Made in Japan, but it lacks the verbiage.
The JDM version does carry the date display in both English and Japanese(Kanji) day wheels. (switching by a crown) English: MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT, SUN Japanese: 月、火、水、木、金、土、日. Pricing of both International and JDM models are similar.

Design
Inspired by a heritage design from Seiko 5 Sports that gained popularity in the late 1960s, the watch comes with a color scheme provided by HUF. The crown is decorated with a special “HUF” logo.
Case back
The exhibition case back is a vivid “HUF green,” unique to the HUF collaboration limited edition.
The words “LIMITED EDITION” and the serial number appear on the back of the watch.
